2016-17 GSC Championship Events

2016-17 Gulf South Conference Championship Events

The Gulf South Conference recognizes official champions in 15 sponsored sports and Invitational Champions in the "emerging sport" of women's lacrosse. The GSC conducts championship events in seven men's sports (baseball, basketball, cross country, golf, soccer, tennis and track & field) and nine women's sports (basketball, cross country, golf, lacrosse, soccer, softball, tennis, track & field and volleyball). The Football Championship is awarded to the team(s) with the highest win-loss percentage in league competition.

For the second year in a row, the GSC will conduct an Inviational Tournament in women's lacrosse in hopes of officially sponsoring the sports in the near future.  Results from women's lacrosse will not be included in the All-Sports Trophy calculations.  Contests against future member
Spring Hill (2017-18, soccer only) count in the league standings. SHC will also compete in the Women's Golf Championship but will not be eligible for the Title or any individual awards.
